To provide an essential channel of communication between the Faculty of Pharmacy principles and teaching assistants regarding their concerns and requirements
To ensure offering various kinds of support, consultations and training to pharmacy TAs through activities including workshops and orientations for new faculty members
To promote elevating their academic performance to assist them create a stimulating learning environment in GUC classrooms
To provide required training for top-ranking senior undergraduate students before their interviews for TAs recruitment
Mission
The Teaching Assistants Support Committee tends to provide a unique academic environment based on positive interaction between various contributors in the teaching process and to overcome any types of hindrance for appropriate delivery of the academic message
Objectives
- Offer a variety of activities like workshops, training programs and orientations for TAs
- Provide consultation and support in handling TAs problems
- Provide preparatory training workshops for top-ranking senior students
- Ensure excellence in the learning process in GUC
- Deliver periodic orientation sessions that provide an overall idea of the academic requirements, ways of assessment, teaching and learning methods
