Doctorate Programs

The degree of Doctor of Philosophy, PhD (Speciality) is awarded for an integrated and coherent work associated with a thesis that demonstrates the candidate's ability to carry out independent research, analysis and presentation of this research at the most advanced level in a particular field of study. The general criteria against which a thesis is assessed at its completion are that the thesis as a whole should make an original contribution to the knowledge of the subject with which it deals, and the candidate should comprehend the relation of his thesis with a wider context of knowledge to which it belongs.

All PhD degrees are equalized by the Supreme Council of Universities.
