Prof. Dr. Nabila Hamdi was awareded the prestigious Hans Kupczyk Visiting Professorship on July 8th in the Senate Chamber of the university by University President Prof. Michael Weber. Her ceremonial talk, titled "Connecting the Neural Dots: A German-Egyptian Cross-Cultural Journey Through Neuromuscular Research," highlighted her key role in establishing an international research cluster on neuromuscular diseases, addressing rare and devastating neurological diseases and paving the way for making gene-based therapies more accessible in Africa.
