On 11-02-2024, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology hosted 82 high school students in the semifinal round of “Science Stars” competition organized by the British Council for IG students from different Egyptian governorates. The event started by welcome speeches of the faculty Dean Prof. Mohamed El-Azizi and the Director of Examination Services at the British Council in Egypt Mr. Fakhar Jaffery followed by the presentation of the Vice Dean of student affairs Prof. Rasha Hanafi about the faculty programs and activities, the Judges Committee started listening to the 3-min presentations of the students and selected the best 15 candidates who will escalate to the final round of the competition. The presentations were in the field of biological sciences and were appreciated by the judges of GUC and British Council. Winners of the competition will be offered an internship in the advanced laboratories of the faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology for 2 weeks under the supervision of its esteemed member academics in summer 2024.
