The faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology was delighted to receive on campus a fine scientific delegation from the Institute of Pharmacy, Freie Universität Berlin on the 8th of May 2023.
The eminent guests were Prof. Dr. Dr. Matthias Melzig, professor of Pharmaceutical Biology and Dean of the Department of Biology, Chemistry, and Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Burkhard Kleuser, head of Pharmacology and Toxicology Department, Dr. Fabian Schumacher, head of the Pharma-MS Facility, Dr. Ahmed Hasan, researcher in Pharmacology, Toxicology in addition to the dynamic Mrs. Hoda El Mahgoub, head of Cairo Liaison Office, Freie Universität Berlin.
The guests were received by the GUC President, Dean, Vice-Deans and Research Group Leaders of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology to exchange academic visions, express common interests and enhance research collaboration, postgraduate supervision and students' exchange.
The delegation praised the research labs facilities in the faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology, level and quality of running research projects and efficient selection of undergraduate students for enrollment in GUC. They agreed with the Research Group Leaders to hold focused meetings to concretize collaborations in Pharmaceutical Biology, Pharmacology, and Chemistry.
