The DAAD-funded workshop entitled “Pharmaceutical Education and Career in the MENA Region: From Traditional into Clinically-oriented Track” is organized by Dr. Mohamed Hassan, head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department.
The workshop will take place from 02-12-22 to 04-12-22 in GUC, and will include open sessions by prominent speakers, experts in the academic and practice fields, from Canada, Germany, UAE, KSA, Oman, and Qatar to conceptualize more about career and research opportunities in the respective countries. In addition, it will involve closed round-table discussions and exchange experiences between the faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology of the GUC and the respective invited eminent speakers from the pre-mentioned countries, focusing on higher pharmaceutical education development in the MENA region in an effort to develop recommendations leading to a concrete proposal which can be applied in GUC to develop and enhance PharmD curricula.
